Hang is a social event platform that connects people who share interests. It is a place where you may meet new people and hang out with them in person. Hang strives to bring people together by offering a platform for them to connect, schedule activities, and meet in the real world in a world where humans are increasingly drifting apart.
Hang would cater to four distinct audiences.
- People who are lonely and want a sense of belonging.
- Nerds that are passionate about a particular topic or movie and want to connect with others who share their passion.
- Empty Nesters (people over 50) who have had their children leave the nest and are looking for things to do in their spare time.
- Recent immigrants in new places looking for a connection to their homeland.
Task
My goal was to design Hang's brand and product identity.
Solution
I defined Hang's brand and marketing strategies before designing its visual identity. I also created an app for Hang, which would be used by those who use the platform. As a marketing touchpoint for the platform, I also designed a website.
